Big and Small Jobs Pt 1: Marble, Granite, Terrazzo, Limestone, and Other Natural Stone Restoration and Refinishing

At Sungloss Marble Restoration Company, we have a history of performing all different kinds of historic restoration, refinishing, cleaning, colorizing, sealing, honing, and polishing work. We have done some big jobs, small jobs, and a few pretty weird jobs along the way. We even have contributed to a LEED-CI certified project in Chicago this year. Throughout our exciting 20-year history of serving Chicagoland’s stone refinishing needs, Sungloss Marble Restoration has proven a reliable and creative go-to for homeowner’s and real estate manager’s stone care solutions.

Sungloss Marble Restoration Company has been around for 20 years, and we’ve had some big clients along the way. We’ve worked for Holy Name Cathedral, cleaned granite for the CTA, polished the expansive terrazzo floors in the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center, worked with the GSA, maintained the lobbies of major banks, developers, and businesses, and restored marble, onyx, serpentine, and antique tiles in historic mansions from Lake Forest to Naperville. Recently we did cleaning and polishing work on more than one natural stone lobby floor in a bank, and we wonder if the TARP or ARRA funds have had something to do with it.

These big jobs are challenging, but ultimately showcase what we do well on a larger scale – quality stone care, attention to detail, all at competitive prices with a personal touch, and a dedication to using procedures and chemicals that have the smaller possible effect on the environment.

Sungloss applies the same principles to all our work, whatever size the job. The restoration work we do can and has taken many forms. Next time I’ll talk about some of the unique jobs Sungloss has done, and walk through some of the excellent day-to-day work we do to satisfy (and sometime amaze) our flood of all types of residential and business clients.
